Daniel Boulud built a garden inside a skyscraper. Le Pavillon sits in One Vanderbilt, next to Grand Central, and Isay Weinfeld designed it as an indoor landscape — real gardens, mature olive trees, greenery at a scale that has no business existing that far above street level.It is one of the most surprising rooms in Manhattan, and the surprise is structural rather than decorative.
